Meet Our Medical Director: Bal Nandra, M.D.
For nearly two decades, Dr. Nandra has been fascinated by wellness, anti-aging, and lifespan support. After much research, he began his personal journey about 15 years ago and has since tried and personally experienced almost every service offered at TransformRX. He is often mistaken for being 10-15 years younger than he is, and believes that if you’re recommending a wellness modality, you should not only delve deep into the science, but should also speak from personal experience. He now brings his experience and success to you.
Born in India, he grew up in England, Canada, and his family immigrated to the USA in 1980. After medical school, he trained as an anesthesiologist at the prestigious University of Chicago Hospitals. In 2017 he founded IV Solution, Chicago’s first and foremost ketamine treatment center for mental illness. With his oversight and as Medical Director, IV Solution has performed over 15,000 ketamine infusions, with unmatchable success rates and passion.
In 2022, he was awarded the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Chicago “Light The Darkness Award” for innovation in mental health wellness. He also received the 2024 “Ellis Island Medal of Honor” for his mental health innovation and philanthropic efforts, an award recognized by Congress and considered to be the nation’s highest and most prestigious. In 2018, he and his wife, Jill, founded the Serenity Foundation, a nonprofit with a mission is to provide financial assistance for those with economic hardship and unremitting mental illness.
Dr. Nandra has published multiple clinical studies from his clinic and also in collaboration with the Baylor College of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry, to study the effects of ketamine infusions in the community and real world.
